Is the Canon Rebel T1i Better Than the Nikon D90?

The obvious difference between the image sensors SLR D90 and the Canon Rebel T1i is 15.1megapixels and 12.3MP respectively. With these data and the application would think a little, most people lead to the conclusion that the Rebel T1i deal probably better.

Unfortunately, overrun for a camera buyer information, which is simply not correct. There are better image sensors (Canon 40D SLR), which would be used in planningStage.

I'm sure you've learned in some of my other discussions, that many megapixels do not necessarily in the most spectacular shots. The image sensor must be designed to cope with more megapixels.

The APS-C sensor from the Rebel SLR T1i is used is used actually a bit smaller than the DX-type image sensor of the Nikon D90 DX. Of course there are different approaches of extra pixels in a smaller sensor to obtain. With smaller pixels, timpani and closer than ever before. What were are talking about is actually called a different measurement as pixel density. It's not a spec you can find branded goods in plain view of the Canon Rebel T1i packaging. The density for the Canon Rebel T1i is 4.5 megapixels per square inch, but the D90 is 3.3 megapixels per square inch.

Crowded pixel is a nuisance, but there's more. How do you go in search of additional lenses, you will quickly learn that more megapixels means generally fall more money for higherPrice lenses. The lens is a high megapixel digital SLR work is designed for higher resolutions, and almost always cost extra.

Oddly enough, the lens, which is usually delivered's (EF-S 18-55mm f / 3,5-5,6) by the manufacturer with the Canon Rebel T1i, not one of those that is good at managing large cameras with megapixel resolution is appropriate. I know it is quite a bit more money, but the Canon 18-200mm EF-S would have been a better lens for the T1i.

If thenot bad enough, you may be curious to know that high pixel density may affect performance of ISO, diffraction, and dynamic. I do not know how to do it for you, but I'm beginning to believe that less is always megapixel Nikon D90 12.3MP more money, a better deal for my bank account.

A time-honored measure of image sensors with RAW data is provided by DxOMark. Dx-O-Mark has tested the Canon EOS 50D, which employs the same image sensor as the T1i and supported myearlier assumptions that the Nikon D90 produces better picture quality. The Canon 50D test should test very close to the Canon Rebel T1i DxOMark once it is presented.
